Denne in partnership with CoPlan Estates and Clague Architects, have been selected as the preferred development partner by Canterbury City Council for the £50m mixed use redevelopment of a council owned cark park within the heart of Herne Bay. Initial proposals for the site include a new 60,000 sq ft food store, hotel, additional retail space, a medical centre and residential apartments.
Such a development will provide strong visual and pedestrian-friendly linkages to the town’s other elements through high quality architecture design and landscaping. The redevelopment and enhancement of this Central Development Area aims to create a sustainable long-term gateway to the town which will represent the character of the Conservation Area within which it is located.
