The overall aim of the scheme was to bring this 1970s care home up to date, improving the lives of existing residents.
The project involved the extension and refurbishment of the existing care home including a new staff room and laundry, the conversion of an old laundry into a hairdressers and extensions to the lounge and dining rooms.
The care home’s boilers were replaced with more efficient boilers. External works including gardens, patios and parking were also upgraded and raised beds were incorporated in the gardens for wheelchair use.
