We are currently delivering a new contract in Caterham, Surrey comprising of 20 apartments in Caterham, Surrey. All of which will be available to rent in Autumn next year. It is the first collaboration between Denne and Guinness South, the southern division of The Guinness Partnership.
The Guinness Partnership is one of the largest affordable housing and care providers in the country, managing more than 60,000 homes and catering for 120,000 customers.
Demolition of the previous housing units on Croydon Road began in August, with essential basement construction already well underway. Due to the steep nature of the site, Denne is utilising a king post system to stabilise the foundations of the new apartments, over which a traditional concrete frame will be constructed.
Denne is committed to the use of renewable technologies to improve the energy efficiency of these new homes. PV solar panels will be used to generate electricity for the apartments, while helping to reduce energy bills for the tenants. As a result, the project is targeted to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3.
Graham Brown, Managing Director, Denne, said: “We are delighted to be establishing a relationship with The Guinness Partnership on the Croydon Road development in Caterham. Our alliance will enable the town’s residents to enjoy new affordable homes, as well as contribute to the development of a greener community.”
